Vrboska is the smallest town on the island of Hvar. Although the smallest, it is the treasure of the island often referred to as “Little Venice“ due to numerous small bridges. It was inhabited even in ancient times and it officially grew in 15th century from a fishermen’s village and a harbour into a small town whose beauty outshines even the bigger and better-known places on the island.

- A mixture of antic, modern, secluded quiet bays and noisy nightlife
Typical Mediterranean local architecture which consists of small houses on both sides of the canal connected to old town houses from the periods of Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque, as well as old churches on one side of the canal and rich villas on the other side, give the place a special charm and warmth. And what is very important – everything is a walking distance away! From the entrance, which is its widest part, surrounded with thick pine forest, it narrows and curves into a canal. Narrow, curving streets, a pine forest, stone buildings and a small islet in the middle of the cove, bathed in sunshine and hidden in the depths of the bay. An image resembling those from old postcards.
The rich fishermen’s tradition in Vrboska can easily be seen in the local gastronomic offer. Healthy food from surrounding fields and freshly caught fish with home-made olive oil and aromatic herbs represent a unique gourmet experience. Add a glass of one of Hvar’s well-known wines and the experience is complete.
In the radius of 200m of Villa Lesina you can find groceries store, restaurants, caffes, bakery, ice cream shop. ACI Marina is 500m away from the villa.
